[edit] Mass mailing

Imagine that you wish to bring a new product, for example an anti-virus application: freemymails.com to the attention of your customers. You can invite your customers thanks to a personalized invitation card using the following steps:

• Select the customers
• Export the selected data for the invitation (name, addresses...)
• Design the invitation card
• Use the functionality of mass mailing of Open ERP to generate the personalized cards.

[edit] Select the customers

To select the customers to be invited, use the research tools (the filters) seen in the previous chapters, and make your multi-criteria selection. This way you will obtain a listing of the potentionaly interested customers:

[edit] Export the used fields

Now that customers are selected, click on ' Form --> Export data... ' and select the fields of the resources which refer there.

[edit] Design the invitation card

The invitation is designed with OpenOffice or MS Word. One integrates the fields into it coming from the exported data of Open ERP by simply ' drag & drop'.

[edit] Generate the personalized invitations

Then the function of mass mailing will be used to generate all the personalized invitations. An example of generated invitation is given below.

You can use this functionality of Open ERP to generate any type of reports/ratios.
